Drive-Thru Job Fair: The Sequel Goes Statewide on Thursday, September 17, 2020

August 31st, 2020 | by NEWCA

The Drive Thru Job Fair has expanded statewide! Plans by the Wisconsin Workforce Development Association, the Job Center of Wisconsin and Forward Service Corporation to host a second job fair event—after their overwhelmingly successful event in July—have opened up to include more than 20 locations across the state.

“With many of the job centers still closed, the drive thru format we brought to Wisconsin has become a popular tool for employers,” said WWDA Executive Committee Chair Anthony Snyder. Snyder also serves as the CEO of the Fox Valley Workforce Development Board in Neenah.

Job seekers can stay safely in their cars and collect job postings and career opportunities, while local employers expand their recruitment efforts.

Those interested in attending the Drive Thru Job Fair in the Green Bay area can contact Craig Colman at 920-940-6069 or ccoleman@fsc-corp.org.

Employers interested in participating in the Green Bay event should deliver 400 one-page recruitment flyers to the Forward Service Corporation office at 726 Pine Street, Green Bay, WI 54301 by noon on Friday, September 11, 2020. Flyers can be one- or double-sided and must be on 8.5x11” or smaller sized paper.

The hosts suggest each one-page flyer contain the following information:
• Company name, location, logo, etc.
• Available position(s)
• How to apply
• Details about company benefits and/or wages
• What makes your company special, what is the service or product you provide?
• Include your Equal Opportunity statement
• Contact information if a job seeker would like to reach out to your company (email, phone or both)
